Yesterday was the 40th anniversary of the first man on the moon, in 1969 . . . I remember watching it with my grandfather. I'm sure there were others there, since we had such a big family, but my memory is focused on him being with me while we watched on one of those old rounded glass TVs. Such a cool thing. My brother now has hanging in one of the bedrooms at his house, an original Memphis newspaper reporting the event, that came from my grandparents house, found deep in a drawer.
